What is a Puppy Rser?
A Puppy Rser is someone who provides essential foundational care for future guide dogs. You will nurture one of these puppies in your home for 12 to 16 months while guiding them through crucial trning stages such as socialization, environmental exposure, obedience, indepence skills, and basic commands.
As a Puppy Rser, you'll embark on an enriching journey that involves:
Engaging with our world-class trning program called Puppy Rsing for Excellent Partnerships PREP.
Providing love, grooming, and feeding your furry fri.
Exposing the puppy to various settings through casual outings around town or by simply having visitors come over.
Implementing commands like sit, stay, and come as part of their dly trning.
What Skills We Look For
We seek enthusiastic individuals aged 18 and above with a love for animals, commitment to this cause, and the ability to commit time in nurturing these puppies through key developmental stages.
